Alisha Patterson, R.M.T.

Alisha Patterson always wanted to be in the health and wellness profession. Graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s 3000 hour programme, Alisha has been a registered massage therapist since 2006.  She started working in a clinic right away, and after 2 years, wishing to expand her knowledge and skills further, she worked at a Spa, learning new techniques to add to her treatment approach.  After some time, she brought her new skillset back to a clinical setting.

In 2017, Alisha was unfortunately in a car accident, and during that time focused on her rehabilitation and on her young family.

After the car accident it was difficult getting back to work due to her injuries. During this time Alisha found a new love for teaching and found her passion again with helping to bring up the new generation of RMT’s. To keep herself involved in the profession that she loves, she eventually started up a mobile massage business part-time.

Having a team of health professionals supporting Alisha through her journey to getting better, she found herself rededicated to the goal of getting back to what she loved – being an RMT.

Now she is finding a happy balance of teaching and helping others, by working with an amazing team in a patient-centred healthcare clinic.
